counsellingCBN Africa commences 24-Hour Telephone Counseling Services

CBN Africa recently commenced 24-hour counseling services for a growing number of callers who need to speak with someone after watching an episode of the 700 Club or Turning Point. Usually in need of spiritual and/or emotional counseling, the CBN Africa Telephone Counselors have had to counsel callers contemplating suicide, battered housewives, drug addicts, members of secret cults and other people trying to cope with one issue or the other.

 

Ministering the Love of God!

Rosemary shares a testimony about how her husband was cured from a gall bladder problem as they watched an episode of the 700 Club. Host, Pat Robertson mentioned that there was someone who had a problem with his gall bladder and prayed with her husband, Sola.

 

According to Rosemary, “…immediately, my husband received his healing and the pains he used to experience stopped. He can eat anything now without any problem, praise God!”  

 

Another viewer, Mary (not her real name) testifies about how she was a prostitute until one day she watched an episode of the 700 Club on TV. “I was so touched by the power of God while watching the program that I gave my life to Christ that day. I have given up prostitution and I am now a changed person! I thank God for delivering me,” she says gratefully.

 

The counseling department of CBN Africa in Abuja is a beehive of activity as a result of calls, text messages and emails that flood the office daily from grateful viewers and counselees whose lives have been touched by our programs and who have been personally ministered to by our dedicated team of counselors.

In response to audience requests for more testimonies from Nigeria (and West Africa) as well as recognizing the need to increase the local content of its programmes, the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN Africa) recently commenced production of The 700 Club Nigeria.

With a mix of testimonies, features, music and on-air ministry that are guaranteed to keep our viewers glued to their screens, The 700 Club Nigeria, a production of CBN Africa, is a half hour magazine program which spreads the gospel of Jesus Christ while highlighting the activities of the Christian Broadcasting Network in Nigeria and other Anglophone West African countries.

Hosted by a male and female duo, each episode of The 700 Club Nigeria showcases the awesome things God is doing in the region, encouraging God’s children to keep the faith and hold on to Jesus, in spite of the myriad of challenges they encounter daily in Nigeria and on the African continent.

 

 

Ethel Ekpe Aderemi, is a familiar face on Nigerian television from her acting days on the popular “Bassey and Company” sitcom. With her warm and captivating personality which endears her to viewers, she is the female presenter of 700 Club Nigeria.

Barine Gbosi is a businessman and minister of the gospel. Simply captivating with his wit and humour, his amiable personality and down to earth approach to issues gives the viewers someone they can easily connect with.
